Braves demote Jace Peterson to Triple-A
The Atlanta Braves have demoted infielder Jace Peterson to Triple-A Gwinett.
Peterson struggled this season to find consistency with his bat as the Braves used him as a utility player. He filled in at all four infield spots and even played eight games in the outfield this season. The fourth-year pro will try to work out the kinks in his swing as he spends some time in the minors. There is a good chance the 27-year-old will be back in the bigs later this season.
Peterson batted just .194/.293/.259 in 123 plate appearances. He hit just six extra-base hits while scoring four times this season.
