Braves activate Adonis Garcia (Achilles) from 10-day DL
The Atlanta Braves have activated third baseman Adonis Garcia (Achilles) from the 10-day disabled list.
What It Means:
Garcia has missed the last three weeks with a sore Achilles tendon. He is expected to platoon with Rio Ruiz at third base the rest of the season. Infielder Jace Peterson was sent down to Triple-A in a corresponding move.
Garcia was slashing .234/.278/.348 with a .273 wOBA in 144 plate appearances before his injury. He has four home runs and 16 RBI's.
