Toronto sitting Devon Travis as they take on Yankees
Toronto Blue Jays second baseman Devon Travis is absent from Thursday's starting lineup against the New York Yankees.
Darwin Barney will start at second base in place of Travis, who blasted a two-run home run in Wednesday's victory. He really turned things around in May, hitting .364 after a miserable .130 average in April. Barney will bat seventh versus Yankees' southpaw CC Sabathia on Thursday. Kevin Pillar is leading off the order for the Blue Jays.
Travis has actually hit well against lefties this season, going 10-for-29 (.345) with two home runs. Versus right-handers, the 26-year-old second baseman is 36-for-147 (.245) with three dingers.
