Angels' Mike Trout (thumb) has successful surgery
Los Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout underwent a successful surgery to repair an ulnar collateral ligament tear in his left thumb on Wednesday.
Trout is expected to miss 6-8 weeks, meaning he could be back as early as the All-Star break and as late as August. Cameron Maybin is expected to see the majority of work in center field while Ben Revere mans left for the Angels.
Trout had an outstanding start to the season, slashing .337/.461/.742 with a .479 wOBA through 206 plate appearances with 16 home runs, 36 RBI's, 36 runs scored and 10 stolen bases.
