New York Yankees relief pitcher Aroldis Chapman (shoulder) played catch on Wednesday.
Chapman has yet to start throwing off the mound, but he's been playing catch without issue this week. Until he is further along in his rehab, it will be difficult to place a timetable on his return. He is dealing with a bout of left rotator cuff inflammation which landed him on the disabled list on May 14.
In 14 appearances (12 2/3 innings) prior to injury, Chapman twirled a 3.55 ERA, 1.42 WHIP, 36.8 percent strikeout rate, and 10.5 percent walk rate while converting on 7-of-8 save opportunities.
