Robbie Ray notches his first career shutout in Diamondbacks' victory
Arizona Diamondbacks pitcher Robbie Ray recorded a complete game shutout in Tuesday's 3-0 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates.
This was both the first complete game and first shutout of Ray's career, and he allowed only four hits with no walks and 10 strikeouts in this one.
Ray has opened 2017 with a 3.00 ERA, 3.55 SIERA, 30.2 percent strikeout rate (a career-high), 10.4 percent walk rate and 1.10 WHIP through 11 starts (69 innings pitched).
