Tampa to send Brad Miller (abdomen) on a rehab assignment Wednesday
The Tampa Bay Rays are sending infielder Brad Miller (abdomen) out to High-A Charlotte for a rehab assignment on Wednesday.
What It Means:
Miller has been sidelined since May 15 with an abdominal strain but if all goes well in the minors, the second baseman will be back in the majors early next week.
Miller is hitting only .205 but is posting a respectable .350 on-base percentage with 21 runs scored in 163 plate appearances this season.
