Hunter Renfroe's grand slams lifts Padres to victory over the Cubs
San Diego Padres outfielder Hunter Renfroe belted a grand slam on Monday as the Padres scored a 5-2 win over the Chicago Cubs.
It was Renfroe's only hit of the night, and he made it count, launching a Kyle Hendricks offering deep to give the Padres a 4-2 lead in the bottom of the fourth inning, which proved to be enough to seal a win for San Diego. The slam brings Renfroe up to 10 home runs and 24 RBI's on the year.
Renfroe is slashing .238/.298/.455 with a .320 wOBA through 205 plate appearances in his first full season in the majors.
