Twins' Byron Buxton leaves early with finger injury, X-rays negative
Minnesota Twins outfielder Byron Buxton left Monday's game early with a finger injury.
Buxton hurt his finger on a dive in the outfield when his finger got caught on teammate Eddie Rosario's spikes. He suffered a cut on his finger and X-rays came back negative, leaving the young outfielder day-to-day with the injury. Ehire Andrianza filled in on Monday and would likely see extra at-bats if Buxton misses a game or two.
After a horrific start, Buxton has been better lately, going 9-for-36 (.250) with one home run and four stolen bases the last two weeks.
