Pirates' Gregory Polanco carted off with ankle injury
Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder Gregory Polanco was carted off the field with an apparent right ankle injury in Monday's game versus the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Polanco crashed into the side wall in right field in the sixth inning and needed a cart to help him off the field. Obviously, the injury will require a DL stint, but the Pirates will update his status after the game with the severity of the ankle injury. Jose Osuna replaced him on Monday and will be in line for more at-bats in while Polanco is out.
Polanco was batting .269/.342/.418 with a .330 wOBA in 150 plate appearances this season.
