Alex Wood (shoulder) only expected to miss one turn in Dodgers' rotation
Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Alex Wood (SC joint inflammation) is only expected to miss one start, manager Dave Roberts said Monday.
Wood was placed on the disabled list Monday, but it's not considered a long-term issue. He owns a spotless 6-0 record through eight starts this season.
The 26-year-old left-hander has been excellent in 2017, posting a 1.69 ERA, 2.51 SIERA, 31.3 percent strikeout rate and 1.00 WHIP through 10 games (48 innings pitched).
