Cardinals activate Jose Martinez from 10-day disabled list
St. Louis Cardinals outfielder Jose Martinez has been activated from the 10-day disabled list.
What It Means:
Martinez will start in right field and bat eighth on Monday against left-hander Rich Hill and the Los Angeles Dodgers. He went 4-for-12 (.333) with a home run and two doubles during a brief rehab stint in the minors.
Prior to injury, Martinez slashed .313/.353/.458 with a .811 OPS in 52 big league plate appearances (20 games) this season.
