Neil Walker homers twice, knocks in four Mets runs
New York Mets second baseman Neil Walker went 3-for-5 with two homers, four RBI, and three runs scored in an 8-1 victory on Friday over the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Walker clubbed a two-run homer in the third inning and a solo shot in the fifth, giving him his fifth career mulit-homer game. He later added an RBI single in the sixth for good measure.
Walker had a very quiet April, but he’s batting .345 with four home runs and 18 RBI in May. His season triple-slash line has risen to .270/.335/.454, with a .340 wOBA.
