Mets have Yoenis Cespedes (hamstring) begin a rehab assignment

New York Mets outfielder Yoenis Cespedes (hamstring) will begin a rehab assignment with High-A St. Lucie on Friday.

What It Means:

Cespedes is scheduled to remain in St. Lucie throughout the weekend with Monday the likely day for his return to the big leagues. That is if there are no setbacks with his hamstring of course. Cespedes has been out since April 27.

numberFire's algorithms project Cespedes for a .279 batting average with 19 home runs, 57 RBI's, and 49 runs scored in 359 plate appearances the rest of the season.
