Chicago Cubs outfielder Kyle Schwarber is not in the lineup Friday.
Schwarber has been slumping this season and the Cubs don't like his chances against Los Angeles Dodgers southpaw Alex Wood. Ben Zobrist is playing in left field and batting leadoff on Friday.
Schwaber is slashing .181/.299/.356 with seven home runs and 55 strikeouts in 187 plate appearances this season.
