Nationals resting Daniel Murphy, Ryan Zimmerman on Friday night
Washington Nationals infielders Daniel Murphy and Ryan Zimmerman are absent from Friday's lineup against the San Diego Padres.
The pair is simply getting a day off. Adam Lind will start at first base for Washington while Wilmer Difo covers second. They will hit fifth and eighth, respectively, versus Padres right-hander Luis Perdomo.
numberFire's MLB Team Power Rankings say the Nationals are the sixth-best team in all of baseball.
