Michael Wacha gets shelled as St. Louis falls to the Dodgers
St. Louis Cardinals pitcher Michael Wacha was hammered for six runs on seven hits on Thursday as the Cardinals fell 7-3 to the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Wacha only made it through four innings in this one, marking the first time in 2017 he has lasted fewer than six innings, while those six earned runs were a season-high.
Despite this hiccup, Wacha has looked pretty good in 2017, posting a 3.66 ERA, 3.81 SIERA, 23.4 percent strikeout rate, 7.5 percent walk rate and 1.24 WHIP through eight starts (46 2/3 innings pitched).
