Mets activate Asdrubal Cabrera (thumb) from 10-day DL
The New York Mets activated shortstop Asdrubal Cabrera (thumb) from the 10-day disabled list.
Cabrera has been out since May 13 with the sprained thumb. While he feels good enough to return to the active roster, the shortstop is not starting on Thursday but is available to pinch-hit off the bench on Thursday. Jose Reyes is at short and batting second.
Reyes has picked up his game the last month, slashing .275/.350/.451 with three home runs and four stolen bases in 105 plate appearances since April 23.
