Dodgers remove Hyun-Jin Ryu from the rotation
The Los Angeles Dodgers announced pitcher Hyun-Jin Ryu will not make his next scheduled start.
With Kenta Maeda scheduled to return on Thursday, it appears the Dodgers are content with sticking with a five-man rotation with Ryu the odd man out. However, with Rich Hill's injury history, Ryu could be in line for another start soon. It is unclear if he will pitch out of the bullpen or spend some time in the minors.
Ryu owns a 4.75 ERA, 1.58 WHIP, and 36 strikeouts through seven starts and 36 innings pitched this season.
