Atlanta Braves shortstop Dansby Swanson is not in the lineup Wednesday.
Swanson has played in the last 14 games and has missed just one game all year, earning a much-deserved rest on Wednesday. Jace Peterson is at shortstop and batting eighth versus Trevor Williams and the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Swanson has struggled with the bat his rookie year, hitting .203/.289/.316 with a .263 wOBA and 17 runs scored in 173 plate appearances.
