Mets without Jay Bruce (back) for matchup with San Diego
New York Mets outfielder Jay Bruce (back) is absent from the starting lineup on Wednesday versus the San Diego Padres.
Back stiffness forced Bruce to make an early exit on Tuesday, but he told reporters Wednesday that it's nothing to be worried about. Curtis Granderson will move over to right field while Juan Lagares draws the start in center for the Mets.
Bruce is batting .250 with a .358 wOBA, 11 home runs, and 30 RBI's in 181 plate appearances this season.
