Tyson Ross could make Rangers debut next week
Texas Rangers starting pitcher Tyson Ross (shoulder) could make his club debut next weekend against the Houston Astros.
Ross hasn't pitched in the big leagues since taking the mound for the San Diego Padres on Opening Day in 2016. He's worth the add coming off surgery for thoracic outlet syndrome in October of last year. In his first rehab start with Triple-A Round Rock, Ross was excellent, giving up just two hits over five shutout innings.
The 30-year-old right-hander twirled a 3.07 ERA with 526 strikeouts (24.6 percent) in 516 2/3 innings for the Padres between 2013-15.
