Blue Jays' Anthony Alford (wrist) placed on the disabled list
Toronto Blue Jays outfielder Anthony Alford has been placed on the 10-day disabled list with a left hamate fracture.
While he's on the 10-day disabled list, don't expect him to be activated immediately, as hamate fractures generally have a recovery time of at least 4-6 weeks. Alford has played in only four games since being called up from Double-A earlier this month.
Alford looked great in minor league action this year, slashing .325/.411/.455 with a .393 wOBA through 141 plate appearances with the New Hampshire Fisher Cats.
