Arizona giving Chris Owings the night off on Tuesday
Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder/shortstop Chris Owings is out of the lineup on Tuesday.
What It Means:
The versatile Owings -- who has played in the outfield, at second, and shortstop -- is getting his second night off this month and his first since May 13. Nick Ahmed is at shortstop with Reymond Fuentes, Yasmany Tomas, and David Peralta in the outfield on Tuesday.
Owings is off to a blazing start, hitting .323 with a .843 OPS in 170 plate appearances. He has five home runs, nine stolen bases, and 19 runs scored this season.
