Denard Span (hand) continues to sit for the Giants
San Francisco Giants outfielder Denard Span (hand) is out of the lineup again on Tuesday.
Span hurt his hand at some point in the weekend series against the St. Louis Cardinals. He is experiencing pain gripping the bat and will miss his second consecutive game with the injury. Consider him day-to-day the rest of the week. Gorkys Hernandez will be in center and bat eighth on Tuesday.
Span is hitting .258 with a .694 OPS and .300 wOBA in 98 plate appearances this season.
