Washington Nationals starting pitcher Joe Ross was recalled from Triple-A Syracuse and he'll rejoin the rotation on Tuesday for a start against the Seattle Mariners.
Ross tossed seven innings of one-run ball in his most recent Triple-A outing. He's struggled in the big leagues this season (7.47 ERA in three starts), but the 24-year-old right-hander still carries plenty of fantasy upside. He costs $6,000 on FanDuel Tuesday and is numberFire's favorite DFS value play at the pitcher position.
Ross' 4.15 SIERA suggests he has plenty of room for improvement moving forward. He's twirled a 20.0 strikeout percentage and career-low 5.7 walk percentage while going 1-0 in those three outings.
