Brett Gardner not in the Yankees' lineup Tuesday
New York Yankees outfielder Brett Gardner is not in the lineup for Tuesday night's game against the Kansas City Royals.
What It Means:
Gardner will get the day off as the Yankees take on Royals' lefty Danny Duffy. Aaron Hicks will start in his place in left field and bat second.
Gardner has had a strong start to the season, slashing .281/.373/.527 with a .384 wOBA through 39 games (170 plate appearances).
