Jeff Hoffman deals seven strong in Rockies' victory
Colorado Rockies pitcher Jeff Hoffman allowed only one run and three hits over seven innings as the Rockies topped the Philadelphia Phillies 8-1 on Monday.
Hoffman also fanned seven Phillies while not allowing any walks in his second start of the season, bringing him to 2-0 on the year after going 0-4 in 6 starts as a rookie in 2016.
Hoffman has started 2017 with a 3.29 ERA, 2.83 SIERA, 32.1 percent strikeout rate, 3.8 percent walk rate and 0.88 WHIP through three games (13 2/3 innings pitched).
