Brandon Finnegan (trapezius) throwing off mound Tuesday for Reds
Cincinnati Reds starting pitcher Brandon Finnegan (trapezius) will throw a 20-pitch bullpen session Tuesday.
This will be Finnegan's first time throwing off the mound since suffering a strained left trapezius on April 15 in his third start of the season. He's expected to return to the Reds' rotation sometime between June 19-24 if all goes well in rehab.
Finnegan recorded a 2.70 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and 31.8 strikeout percentage in 10 innings prior to injury, but did walk 9-of-44 (20.5 percent) of the batters he's faced.
