Angels demote C.J. Cron to Triple-A Salt Lake
Los Angeles Angels first baseman C.J. Cron has been demoted to Triple-A Salt Lake.
Despite hitting a grand slam on Sunday against the New York Mets, Cron has struggled to a .232/.281/.305 slash in 24 games this season. Luis Valbuena, Jefry Marte, and Albert Pujols will all likely see time at first base for the Angels.
Cron has gone just 19-for-82 at the plate with one home run and eight RBI's in 2017. His .586 OPS is well below last year's career-high (.792).
