Padres' Trevor Cahill (shoulder) suffers a setback, will have an MRI
San Diego Padres starting pitcher Trevor Cahill is headed for an MRI after feeling continued soreness in his right shoulder while throwing from 75 feet Saturday.
Cahill had been a pleasant surprise this season before getting hurt and now it looks like he could be out for some time pending the results of the MRI. We will update again once the results are made public.
Cahill has posted a 3.27 ERA and a 3.26 SIERRA over 41.1 innings pitched in 2017. He owns a 29.5 strikeout rate on the year.
