Milwaukee Brewers shortstop Jonathan Villar has been dropped to sixth in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Chicago Cubs.
After a breakthrough 2016 season, regression has hit Villar in a big way this year.
Villar holds a triple-slash line of just .207/.272/.331 and leads the National League with 55 strikeouts in 185 plate appearances. Positively, he has hit five homers and swiped eight bases in that span, but with ground-ball and soft contact rates that have spiked to lead to a .275 BABIP, he'll need to fix his swing to keep producing (let alone playing).
