Mitch Haniger (oblique) getting a couple days' rest from Mariners
The Seattle Mariners are giving outfielder Mitch Haniger (oblique) a couple of days off after he felt some soreness following Thursday's workout.
The plan had been for Haniger to start a minor league rehab assignment on Friday, but instead he'll have his timetable pushed back a couple of days. He's still expected to rejoin the Mariners at some point next week, though the date is still fluid depending on how he responds.
Haniger got off to a hot start this season, slashing .342/.447/.608 with a .448 wOBA through 95 plate appearances -- tallying 4 home runs, 16 RBI's and 20 runs scored.
