A's holding lefties Matt Joyce and Yonder Alonso out on Friday
Oakland Athletics outfielder Matt Joyce and first baseman Yonder Alonso (knee) are not in the lineup Friday.
The A's are facing southpaw Chris Sale and the Boston Red Sox on Friday and want as many right-handed bats in the lineup as possible. Alonso is likely to sit the entire series as he is nursing a sore knee as well. Mark Canha is in right field and batting seventh while Ryon Healy is at first and batting sixth.
Canha owns a.305 wOBA in 35 plate appearances while Healy is batting .257 with 7 home runs and 16 RBI's in 160 plate appearances this season.
