Magneuris Sierra heading down to Cardinals' Double-A affiliate
The St. Louis Cardinals optioned outfielder Magneuris Sierra to Double-A Springfield.
What It Means:
Sierra acquitted himself quite well after a surprise promotion, but he's just 21 and still needs plenty more seasoning.
Sierra batted .367/.406/.367 with a stolen base in 32 plate appearances in his first cup of coffee.
