Jhonny Peralta (illness) activated from DL by Cardinals
The St. Louis Cardinals have activated shortstop/third baseman Jhonny Peralta (illness) from the 10-day disabled list.
Peralta has missed over a month with an upper respiratory infection and an allergic reaction to his medication. He returns as part-time players as Jedd Gyorko has run away with the starting third baseman job in his absence. Magneuris Sierra was sent down in a corresponding move.
Peralta is projected for a .250 average, 8 home runs, and 32 RBI's in 285 plate appearances the rest of the season by numberFire's algorithms.
