Angels' Albert Pujols will take a seat on Friday in New York

The Los Angeles Angels are sitting first baseman/designated hitter Albert Pujols on Friday night.

What It Means:

The Angels are battling the New York Mets on the road without the luxury of a DH. While Pujols will get at least one game in at first during the weekend series, C.J. Cron is at first on Friday night versus Jacob deGrom.

Pujols is having a down year with just five home runs and a .655 OPS in 174 plate appearances this season.
