New York Yankees third baseman Chase Headley is not in the lineup Friday.
What It Means:
Headley is mired in an awful slump (just 10 hits in his last 63 at-bats for a .159 average), so the Yankees are giving him a mental break on Friday. Ronald Torreyes is playing at third and batting ninth against Erasmo Ramirez and the Tampa Bay Rays.
Torreyes is hitting a respectable .295 with 14 RBI's in 90 plate appearances this season.
