Jose Berrios deals double-digit strikeouts in Twins' nightcap victory
Minnesota Twins pitcher Jose Berrios fanned 11 Colorado Rockies batters over 7 2/3 innings of work as the Twins scored a 2-0 shutout win in the nightcap of Thursday's doubleheader.
Berrios allowed only two hits and one walk in the stellar perforamnce, which brings him to 2-0 through two starts in 2017 -- a very encouraging opening to the season after he struggled mightily in his 2016 rookie campaign.
Through those two starts, Berrios is sporting a 0.59 ERA, 3.16 SIERA, 27.8 percent strikeout rate rate, 3.7 percent walk rate and 0.39 WHIP.
