The Cincinnati Reds have recalled pitcher Amir Garrett from Triple-A Louisville to start Thursday's road game against the Chicago Cubs.
Garrett only spent about a week in the minors after being sent down on May 7, making one two-inning appearances, and he's back to the bigs for his seventh major league start this afternoon.
Through six starts this year, Garrett is sporting a 4.25 ERA, 4.61 SIERA, 18.9 percent strikeout rate, 9.5 percent walk rate and 1.19 WHIP.
