Mets place Asdrubal Cabrera (thumb) on the 10-day disabled list
The New York Mets have placed shortstop Asdrubal Cabrera (thumb) on the 10-day disabled list, retroactive to May 14.
Cabrera first suffered his thumb injury on May 6, and he re-aggravated it over the weekend. Jose Reyes has been filling in for Cabrera at shortstop while T.J. Rivera starts at third base.
Cabrera has opened 2017 slashing .257/.339/.381 with a .320 wOBA through 127 plate appearances.
