Dodgers' Adrian Gonzalez (elbow, back) set for rehab assignment
Los Angeles Dodgers first baseman Adrian Gonzalez (elbow, back) will begin a rehab assignment with High-A Rancho Cucamonga on Tuesday.
He's slated to play seven innings Tuesday and then might only need one additional game before being activated. Cody Bellinger is now entrenched in left field for the Dodgers, so Gonzalez will get his first base job back later this week, it appears.
Gonzalez holds a .255/.327/.309 triple-slash line with 11 RBI's in 105 plate appearances this year. He's still looking for his first home run of the season.
