Jays place Steve Pearce (calf) on 10-day DL
Toronto Blue Jays outfielder/first baseman Steve Pearce (calf) was placed on the 10-day disabled list on Monday.
What It Means:
Pearce injured his right calf in Sunday's game against the Seattle Mariners. Toronto didn't announce the severity of the strain, making it unclear how long he will miss. Expect Ezequiel Carrera to get more at-bats in Pearce's place.
