Toronto Blue Jays manager John Gibbons said Monday that third baseman Josh Donaldson (calf) should return "by the weekend... we'll see."
Donaldson has been out since mid-April with a calf injury that originally came with a two-to-four week recovery timetable. We are currently in week five of the rehab process, so we will take Gibbons' word with a grain of salt. Donaldson is currently rehabbing at the Jays' spring training complex and could make a return to the lineup without a rehab appearance.
Donaldson is projected for a .291 batting average, 18 home runs, and 60 RBI's in 401 plate appearances the rest of the season, by numberFire's algorithms.
