Toronto planning to have Troy Tulowitzki (hamstring) back on Wednesday
Toronto Blue Jays manager John Gibbons said Monday that shortstop Troy Tulowitzki (hamstring) is expected to be activated for the team's series against the Atlanta Braves that begins Wednesday.
Tulo has been out since April 22 with a strained right hamstring. The shortstop played in a simulated game on Sunday, showing no ill-effects. He will play a game or two for High-A Dunedin, starting Monday, and if all goes well, he will be activated from the disabled list on Wednesday.
The Blue Jays' offense could use Tulo's bat as they rank 24th in batting average (.236) and 23rd in runs scored (151) in the majors this season.
