Phillies listening on offers for Jeremy Hellickson
The Philadelphia Phillies will "listen" on offers for starting pitcher Jeremy Hellickson, Nick Cafardo of the Boston Globe reports.
With Hellickson headed for free agency after this season, the rebuilding Phillies would likely jump at the chance to trade him if the right offer came along. Per Cafardo, the Phillies are targeting prospects to beef up their farm system.
Hellickson has registered a respectable 3.49 ERA this year, but it's come with a mediocre 10.7 percent strikeout rate and 5.0 percent walk rate.
