Blue Jays' Jay Biagini goes five strong in a win over Seattle
Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Joe Biagini dealt five shutout innings, allowing only four hits as the Jays defeated the Seattle Mariners 4-0 on Friday.
This marks the first win of the season for Biagini, who has made two starts in 2017 after making 60 relief appearances (and no starts) for the Blue Jays in 2016.
Biagini has been outstanding to start the year, with a 2.28 ERA, 2.58 SIERA, 22.9 percent strikeout rate, 2.9 percent walk rate and 0.87 WHIP.
