Addison Russell (shoulder) may not play for Cubs all weekend
Chicago Cubs infielder Addison Russell (shoulder) said Friday that he's not sure whether he'll play in the weekend series against the St. Louis Cardinals.
What It Means:
Russell doesn't believe he'll need a stint on the disabled list. He hasn't played since Tuesday due to a sore right shoulder that he first started dealing with last week.
In 140 plate appearances this season, Russell is slashing .227/.293/.359 with two home runs and 15 RBI's.
