Milwaukee Brewers manager Craig Counsell said on Friday the team was giving relief pitcher Neftali Feliz a break from closing duties while noting that Corey Knebel has been outstanding.
All indications are that Knebel will get the next save chance for the Brewers while Feliz tries to get back on track while pitching in a different role. Feliz is 8-for-9 in save chances but owns a 6.19 ERA. Knebel has 11 holds in 19 appearances this year and should be scooped up in all leagues by save-hungry teams.
Knebel owns a 1.00 ERA, 1.00 WHIP, and 29 strikeouts in 18 innings pitched this season.
