Tigers activate J.D. Martinez (foot) for season debut Friday
Detroit Tigers outfielder J.D. Martinez (foot) will be activated from the disabled list Friday.
The Tigers hadn't committed to activating Martinez this weekend, but Jim Adduci's oblique injury likely expedited the decision. Martinez has been out all season with a Lisfranc sprain in his right foot. He went 4-for-26 (.154) with two home runs in six rehab games.
numberFire's models project Martinez to hit .289 with 18 home runs, 64 RBI's and 59 runs scored in 470 plate appearances this season.
